Chocolate Pearls
Chocolate Pearls (Brown Pearls) first burst upon the fashion scene when the Ballerina Pearl Company developed a unique process for bleaching Tahitian pearls to produce a luscious chocolaty-bronze color while retaining most of the characteristic Tahitian pearl lustre. These new brown pearls were popularized by Erica Courtney - a designer who adorns many Hollywood starlets for their red carpet appearances. Chocolate pearls can also be produced by other bleaching and enhancement processes, such as dying. Their rich, earth-tones are at their most dramatic when offset by gleaming gold settings and pave white or chocolate diamonds.
