Looking for beauty on a budget? Freshwater pearls have come a long way in the past few decades! Produced mainly in China, and grown within Mussels instead of Oysters, fresh water pearls were once only available as small, irregular "rice pearls". They are now being produced in symmetrical shapes and a variety of sizes, and are attractive enough to give the pricier saltwater cultured pearls a run for their money!
